ABSORBING MANHOLES
Absorbing manholes manufactured by Polieco are manholes made from a DRENOPAL double wall co-extruded high density polyethylene slotted corrugated pipe. The pipe has a smooth wall inside, coloured grey, and corrugated outside, coloured black.
The absorbing manholes feature a series of slots along the entire circumference of the riser, placed in the cavity between one corrugation and the other: the slots are specifically designed by Polieco to disperse stormwater into the ground.
The absorbing manhole makes it possible to manage stormwater without releasing it directly into the sewer system: unlike cement items, the polyethylene absorbing manhole is versatile and easy to handle and install, while maintaining the strength and functionality properties that make the absorbing manhole a fully reliable item.
Diameters normally used in this application are ND/OD 1000 (inside diameter of 855 mm) and ND/OD 1200 (inside diameter of 1024 mm).
A number of accessories are also available, such as the tapered adapter and couplings. You may request a polyethylene plate, welded to the inside wall of the manhole, to close the stormwater dispersion manhole.
